About

I have multidisciplinary postgraduate degrees in law, Public administration and public policy. I hold an MA in Public Policy with Specialisations in International Policy Practice and, Media and Telecommunications Policy from the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary, an MA in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of York, United Kingdom. In addition, I also hold an LL.M (Master of Laws) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria; a professional license to practice as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria from the Nigerian Law School, and an LL.B degree (with Honours) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. I am also a recipient of the prestigious International Policy Fellowship of the Center for Policy Studies (2006) of the Central European University, and a special peer award for my contributions to good governance advocacy in Nigeria (2007).

My interest and work experience is in Democracy and Governance with emphasis on political participation - elections and social actions, economic reforms, the budgeting process, fiscal responsibility, justice reform, public procurement and anti-corruption measures.
I had worked as the National Coordinator of the Transition Monitoring Group- the major local elections observation group in Nigeria – with the capacity to deploy 15, 000 Election Observers and Concerned Professionals- one of the most credible and influential voice in Good Governance in Nigeria and Africa. During my tenure at TMG, I had the primary responsibility for proposal development, management and coordinating membership and fundraising activities. I was responsible for increasing the membership strength of TMG from 60 to 175 members across the country, especially in states with very weak presence. I worked with the European Union, the National Democratic Institute and the Independent National Electoral Commission in Nigeria to deploy 10,000 observers for the voters registration exercise in 2002, which was a prelude to the 2003 general elections. I also worked with international consultants to prepare a funding proposal that formed the framework for the European Union support of civil society organisations for the 2003 electoral process in Nigeria.
I have experience working with and managing projects funded by the European Commission (EC), United States Agency for International Aid (USAID), the British Department for International Development (DFID), the Open Society Institute for West Africa (OSIWA), Heinrich Boell Foundation (HBF) and several other development partners.
I have also participated in several international conferences, seminars, and capacity building trainings in Project Management and Advocacy.
